About Cimage
Cimage was founded in the USA in 1989 through a merger between Datagraphic Systems Inc. and SysScan Inc. The new company, Cimage Corporation,
based its headquarters in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA, and focused on designing,
developing, and supplying electronic document management solutions.
Cimage Corporation addressed the North American market and in the same year that
it was formed, it launched Cimage International Limited, based in Bracknell,
United Kingdom, to serve the EMEA region through a combination of direct and
indirect sales.
In June 1995, Cimage Corporation was acquired by the IT Products and Services
Division of British Company Tarmac Professional Services (TPS) and was re-named
Cimage Enterprise Systems Ltd.
In Q2 1998, the new Y2K product set Cimage 98 was launched. It represented
further significant developments in quality, openness and functionality and was
extremely well received by both existing and prospective users, and provided a
solid platform on which to grow the business.
In November 1999, Cimage Enterprise Systems Ltd acquired the assets of NovaSoft
Systems, a US based company operating in similar markets to Cimage. A new
company, Cimage NovaSoft Inc., was formed operating out of Burlington, MA, as an
independent business unit reporting to Cimage Enterprise Systems Ltd in the UK.
In April 2000, Tarmac refocused its core activities and Cimage Enterprise
Systems Ltd. was acquired by the management team, backed by 3i plc and the Bank
of Scotland.
In Q3 2000 Cimage e3 was launched, the revolutionary new product suite that
manages content throughout its lifecycle, from the initial conceptual project,
through to operations, records management and re-use for future projects. The
product has been well received by customers, prospects and industry analysts and
ongoing product development takes place to ensure it continues meet their needs.
In January 2001, the Company was renamed globally to Cimage NovaSoft.
In 2002, the Company became a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner.
In Q3 2003, the Company launched its Fusion product suite, a new web-based
platform for Enterprise Content Management solutions to the regulated
industries. A comprehensive Web Services toolkit was released at this time
supporting popular .NET and J2EE web environments. The Fusion Reference Library,
released in Q2 2004, has generated significant interest at customers and
prospects due to its innovative new design.
In July 2004 the Company joined the
SWORD
Group, an industrial provider of custom-made solutions.
SWORD Group is a specialized International IT Product and Services company active
in 30 countries.

2005, the Cimage NovaSoft USA HQ relocated from
Burlington, MA to Houston, TX.
In January 2006, the Company was renamed to “Cimage,
a SWORD Group Company". In April 2006, the
Bracknell office relocated to SWORD Group offices in
Brentford, London, UK. |
