Rover announces its 1000th on-line Cimage user

Rover Group, market leaders in the automotive industry, have announced that they now have 1000 users of the Cimage Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) within engineering and manufacturing at Solihull.

Mark Rowe, Quality and Reliability Manager of Trim and Hardware Engineering of Rover, is the 1000th on-line Cimage user and has been with the Rover Group for 18 years.

The Rover Group selected Cimage EDMS as the only quality solution for storing, distributing and managing its engineering drawings and related documentation. Initially the Cimage system was installed in September 1993 for 25 concurrent users.

Due to the increasing user base at Rover, Nick Passant, Printing Manager, has noticed significant improvements and advantages that Cimage EDMS has delivered. "The main benefits that the Cimage System has provided are a reduced time to market and subsequent cost savings to the organization," he commented.

Ian MacKenzie, Managing Director Cimage Enterprise Systems, toasted the occasion of the 1000th Cimage user within the Rover Group by presenting Nick Passant and Mark Rowe with engraved silver trays.
